Nubby's email...

If you would like to e mail Nubby, please look at the sidebar to your right and scroll down to where it says "Want to e mail Nubby?" and take a look, her e mail is there.

Morning Update

Nubby is doing fantastic. In fact I've never seen a rat recover so fast after tumor surgery. Usually when i bring a rat home they are kinda slow and they sleep but not Nubby. She's running around and doing what she normally does. I keep trying to get her to rest but she won't. But, she did sleep threw the night so that's good.

I just called the vet and left a message on their service thanking everyone from the doc and the staff for taking such good care of her and to let them know she's doing wonderful this morning. I had to cut the message short because stupid me started crying. I was thanking them and i said "Thank you for taking such good care of her, this rat is like one of the loves of my life" when i got to 'this rat is like' i started crying and tried to hide that rumbling in my voice so i said it fast and said thank you again and hung up. I started crying, I'm such a doofus lol.

Her stitches look good. She is licking them but i haven't seen her trying to remove anything. I don't even see any stitches. I think when Saffy had her tumor removed over 2 years ago the vet told me with rats they use a device that hides the stitches inside. Am i correct with that, or did i hear that wrong? Because i see no stitches but you can tell it is stitched up because of the wrinkled tightness on the incision.

Her abscesses look great. I'd been trying to treat them at home so this was perfect timing because the vet took care of those as well. She had 3 small abscesses from when she got in that silly fight with Wendy. They weren't bad at first but over like the last 6 days they started to abscess so this was perfect timing because the vet cleaned them up really good, i guess he lanced them? They don't have that puss-smell anymore- Yuck.

Nubby was sent home with 2 meds- An or Baytril/Doxy oral ATB and a topical ATB, it says Baytril/'Siliadene'. I can't really tell because i can't read the persons writing, anyone ever heard of something called 'Siliadene'? I'm probably reading it wrong. It's a pink creamy stuff. The oral ATB's Nubby got smells so good, it's Bubble Gum flavor and SHE loves it!!! But, she can only have 0.2 twice a day. I have to pull the syringe from her lol. She doesn't want to let it go.

So everything is fine, Nubby is doing so good. I have her right here at the desk with me. I just put her here 5 minutes ago and she's already curled up in an upright ball sound asleep. I guess putting her here with me was a good idea because on the bed she wouldn't go to sleep, she wanted to play and explore. The desk area makes her sleepy for some reason. She needs her rest so I'm happy she's sleeping now.

Ok, well... I'll do an evening update and take more pics at some point today and I'll make a video of her as well today.

Thank you for all your prayers and positive thinking and THANK YOU for the donations!!! I can't thank you all enough for the kind donations that made this happen.

Nubby's Home- Stitches/surgery pics

Here are some pics of Nubby and her stitches. The vet also cleaned up those absesses she got from the wounds she got from that fight with Wendy so those are the other wounds you see.

NUBBY'S Surgery Went FINE

Very excellent news to report!!!

Last night the vet called to let me know that Nubby's surgery went well and that Nubby was doing fine. Although, i was asleep when he left the message and i didn't hear the message till this morning.

I can pick her up around 3 or 4 this evening.

Soon as i get her home I'll some pics of her and her stitches etc.

I CAN'T WAIT TILL SHE IS HOME SO I CAN HUG HER (gently of course) AND SPOIL HER.

Happy Happy day!

Surgery Evening.

I shall be leaving in few minutes to take Nubby to the vet to her have her tumor removed. She should be having her surgery in the evening at some point. Please keep her in your thoughts.

I don't wanna leave her there :( It's so hard for me to be away from her :)

Sorry for pop ups- Trying to fix

I apologize for the pop ups that show up when you view this page. They are coming from one of the Widgets i installed on my page. I am trying to figure out which Widget it was. I think it was the Mini-Blogs i put on my page so i took that one off to see if it helps.

I have a pop up blocker on my Fierfox browser so i can't see the pop ups when i view my blogs when not in edit mode. But someone told me one of the pop ups as VERY ADULT, i am soooooooo sorry about that. Please know i didn't put that add on myself, it came with one of the Widgets on the side bar.

I am trying to fix all this so bare with me please. Don't it discourage you from viewing my blog.

Thank you

Nubby enjoying a siesta

I got the photo's in the wrong order...

The bottom picture is when Nubby was sleeping and the top pic is when she didn't want to be bothered and snuggled deeper into the blanket. I uploaded them in reverse and it wouldn't let me reverse them oh well.... but you get the idea lol.

I took these photo's of Nubby a few minutes ago. She was sound asleep, all snuggled in my blanket. She was actually asleep when i took these but her eyes we're open; you know how rats do that lol. She than woke up and wiggled herself deeper into the blanket. Guess she wasn't in the mood to take pics or to wake up. But, i was actually getting ready to put new bedding on because i did laundry yesterday. I didn't want to wake her up, i felt so bad. So i let her sleep for about 15 more minutes and than i had to wake her up to put new bedding on my bed. I gently woke her up. Let her yawn and stretch and than i gently moved her somewhere else where she fell back to sleep. I hated waking the little lazy princess up though. I felt so bad. Above are the pictures of Princess Nubby having her afternoon siesta
